If you’re scanning and then manually adding documents into SharePoint, you don’t need to be.

Many of you use SharePoint as a collaboration and document management tool for your office (either as a standalone product, in the cloud, or in conjunction with Office 365).

SharePoint is a secure place for you to store, organize, share, and access information from many devices and locations.

If you’re scanning and then manually adding documents into SharePoint, you don’t need to be.

You can see scanning to SharePoint in action in the embedded video below. It’s a video of the UniFLOW product integration to SharePoint; other manufacturer’s products will work similarly.

Sometimes, it’s a simple matter of specifying the SharePoint address and port number and the user credentials and works smoothly.

As with anything technology-related, however, the devil is in the details. Depending on your exact mix of print controllers, equipment, and security requirements; extra steps and configurations could be required. uniFLOW will require additional configuration steps.

You can also scan to the cloud. For more information, read our Did You Know post, Your Copier Can Scan to the Cloud.
