Laserfiche 10 could be the software platform you need to manage documents and automate business processes.

One of the best providers of document management (and workflow and capture) software, Laserfiche, has launched the latest version of its flagship product: Laserfiche 10. IT analyst and market research company IDC wrote an analysis report on the new release.

The report highlights the features and functionality in Laserfiche 10 accompanied by expert insight from Melissa Webster, IDC’s Program Vice President of Content and Digital Media Technologies. 

According to IDC, Laserfiche is transforming manual, document-based processes into digital, automated workflows with their new enterprise content management (ECM) software.

But that’s not all, Laserfiche 10, Webster states, also offers a large number of new features – taking their business process automation platform to a whole new level.

Below are a few of the new features IDC highlights as major benefits.

Business Process Library (BPM)

New to the product – and available FREE to users with just one click – is an extensive library of “out-of-the-box” templates. Users can also customize templates with the BPM’s drag-and-drop process designer. And, customers can create workflows from scratch, which means they can avoid the complications of licensing. 

Contract Management

Now users can automate all the tasks associated with contract filing, metadata management, version management, and records management. With Laserfiche Contract Management, companies can tailor to a broad range of workflows and contracts through a complete, configurable application.

Case Management

When it comes to business transformation and improvement, case management frameworks (accompanied by ECM/BPM and analytics) dramatically reduces development costs and accelerates time to market. Laserfiche offers a comprehensive case management framework designed with a “broad ECM portfolio, spanning content management, business process management, analytics, mobile, and cloud capabilities

Laserfiche Discussions

Designed to enhance collaboration, this new feature allows users to create and share threaded conversations, tasks, Q&As, and receive automated alerts. It also improves teamwork and can capture discussions around reviews and approvals so nothing slips through the cracks. 

Laserfiche Connector

Connector identifies whether information is to be passed between applications, searched, or turned into metadata. This “no code” application integration allows organizations to extend the functionality of Laserfiche with new context-specific "actions" through pluggable components. And it’s easy to use.
