About Datamax
Datamax of Texas is one of seven independent divisions of privately-owned, St. Louis-based company Sumner Group, Inc. Founded in 1955 as A.B. Dick Products of St. Louis, the company established its presence as a leader in the mimeograph, offset press and supply arenas. Shortly thereafter, the company expanded into the reprographics market with the introduction of electrostatic technology in 1960. By 1975 Sumner Group had established its own leasing division, enabling the company to provide convenience and flexibility through single-source financial services. In subsequent years, success in the St. Louis offices led the company to expand Datamax into other markets, including Little Rock, Arkansas and the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
In February of 1990, Datamax was invited by Canon to open as an authorized technology provider in the D/FW Metroplex based on its reputation of service excellence. We’ve continued to develop our industry leadership locally ever since. In August of 2004, Datamax of Texas opened a 35,000 square foot Operations Center located near our headquarters that accommodates our technical and connectivity training, e-learning, administration, print services, on-site parts and inventory, and warehouse facility. Through the years we have evolved into a business process-related technology and services provider, developing alliances with industry-leading organizations including Canon, KonicaMinolta and Microsoft—among many others.
In addition to St. Louis, Little Rock and Dallas/Fort Worth, Datamax also has offices in Hot Springs, Arkansas and Kansas City, Missouri. To learn more about Datamax of Texas, including our value proposition, thought process, leadership and locations, please click the links to the left.
